1. What is Quantum Space, Learning and Innovation Hub?
Quantum Space is one of Fiji’s premier STEM learning Hub. STEM programs are designed to spark interest in children of all backgrounds, skill levels, and ages as they explore the captivating world of technology and computer science. We work with internationally recognised partners in computer science to provide a fun, hands-on experience where your child can create, build, and explore new technologies. Our coding classes foster a collaborative atmosphere, allowing kids to develop valuable skills and form lasting friendships through teamwork.
2. What is Coding?
Coding is giving step-by-step instructions to a computer to make it do what you want! It’s how we create software, games, apps, and websites. Coders, also known as programmers, are the masterminds behind everything we see and do on a computer. When kids learn to code, they develop important skills such as problem-solving, logic, and critical thinking. More than that, coding turns kids into tech creators, enabling them to build the technology they love, rather than just using it!
3. What is a Code Camp?
A Code Camp is a 1 to 3 day-time school holiday program that offers fun and engaging coding activities for kids of all ages and skill levels. Our goal is to create a collaborative environment where children develop tech skills while forming lasting friendships. Through hands-on projects that range from coding to other STEM activities, kids explore technology in exciting and creative ways.
4. What is an After School Activity?
An After-School Activity (ASA) is a wide range of programs in computer science, robotics, and STEM. These programs run for 1 hour once or twice a week, over a period of 6 to 8 weeks during the school term.
5. Does my child need coding experience?
No coding experience is required. Our programs are designed to accommodate various coding skill levels.
